our God is able
Our God is an able God.
He’s able to do far more than we can ask or even imagine.
Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
Now to Him who is able.
Hallelujah!
Our God is an able God.
He is able to do the things He has promised.
He is able to accomplish the things you’ve given up on.
Maybe you’ve prayed and grown weary, but God hasn’t given up on you.
He will never forget you.
Whatever you’re believing for — salvation, healing, provision, strength — God can do far more than you can think, ask, or imagine.
That’s who He is.
God is able to save
Nothing in this world can save you — no religion, no works, no achievements.
Only Jesus can save you and give you eternal life.
That is the greatest gift.
Don’t take it for granted. Rejoice in the fact that you are saved.
Have you been praying for a loved one?
Keep praying. Don’t give up.
Hebrews 7:25 says, “Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.”
God is still saving people today. Even in the darkest places, He’s working.
GOD IS ABLE TO DELIVER
When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego faced the fiery furnace, they declared:
Daniel 3:17: “If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.”
And He did.
Sometimes, God delivers us through the fire rather than from it. He allows us to go through challenges to grow our character and faith.
Whatever you’re facing, trust that God is able to deliver you.
If your mind is covered with confusion or overwhelmed with options, seek God.
He is able to deliver you and help you.
God is able to provide
God is Jehovah Jireh, our provider.
Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you."
Trust Him with your finances, your career, and your future.
He will provide.
2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
The widow of Zarephath had only a handful of flour and a little oil left — just enough to prepare one last meal for herself and her son. Then Elijah, the prophet, asked her to make him something to eat first. It didn’t make sense. But she trusted the word of God spoken through Elijah.
And what happened?
Her jar of flour was not used up, and her jug of oil did not run dry (1 Kings 17:7-16). God provided more than enough because she acted in faith.
Trust the word of God, even when it doesn’t make sense.
He is able to provide.
God is able to heal
Jesus asked the blind men in Matthew 9:28-30, "Do you believe that I am able to do this? Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored.
God’s healing power is still at work today. He can heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Trust God to heal you.
Stand before Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and bring your sickness to Him.
Trust that He is able to heal in His time and His way.
God is able to strengthen
We are meant to be strong, not weak. Whether God gives you money or not, whether He brings healing or not, whether you get married or not, whether you have children or not, whether you have that car or house or not — He is God who is able to strengthen you.
We are called to be strong, not weak Christians.
Not running to things that hold us back — run to God.
We are called to be strong because our God is strong. If He is in us, then we are meant to be strong. Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world.
If you’re tired, it’s okay to rest.
When Elijah was depressed and even suicidal, God fed him, let him sleep, and strengthened him to run again. Sometimes, it’s the simple things that God uses to restore us.
Isaiah 40:29-31 says, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
Even when life feels heavy, God’s strength is available to you. Place your hope in Him, and He will renew your strength.
Even when promises seem delayed, God is your strength.
Keep trusting Him.
He will renew you.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 says, "Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls — Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills.
Even when things don’t go as planned, trust that God is your strength.
Rejoice in Him and know that He is able to make you an overcomer.
Are you willing to believe & trust that God is able?
Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
Even if the answer doesn’t come right away, will you still rejoice?
Will you still trust?
God’s ability isn’t just about knowing His promises. It’s about trusting Him through the process.
This year, I pray you’ll lean into His Word.
Trust Him for the journey.
